Paul Bowman

Paul Bowman
Chair
Paul Bowman is a land developer, builder and lifelong resident of Cheshire, CT. Over the last 43 years Paul has developed dozens of residential and commercial projects in Cheshire and its surrounding communities, providing several-hundred neighborhood homes to people looking for the best quality of life looking the best opportunity to live and raise a family.
Paul has a long history of public service being active in the town of Cheshire, serving as a former member of the Cheshire Town Council, a founding member of the Cheshire Community Food Pantry Inc. and Hope for Our Neighbors, Inc. His public service is exemplified by the many hours of volunteering as member on many non-profit organizations, public committees and by always giving something back to the community.

Neil Bradley and his family have resided in Cheshire since 2016. He co-founded the Cheshire Homeless Support Group in 2022 with other residents concerned about the increasing number of people in our community facing housing insecurity issues or who are homeless. Neil aspires to provide opportunities for affordable, supportive housing in Cheshire.

Doug Levens is currently the Branch Executive Director of the Cheshire Community YMCA. He has been a Cheshire resident since 2001 where he and his wife Liz have raised their two boys Peter and Eric.

Arnett Talbot
Arnett Talbot was born and raised in Connecticut and a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut, Arnett moved to Cheshire over forty years ago, raising her family here. In addition to early career management roles in non-profit organizations, including the United Way, and a variety of volunteer experiences, she spent over thirty years in Cheshire’s municipal government. She worked closely with the Town’s impressive and professional management team and volunteer officials on budgets, policies, project planning and implementation, resident services, human resources, and organizational operations. Her knowledge of the town and its strengths and needs led her to the growing and under-recognized issue of unstable housing and homelessness in Cheshire. Now that she is retired and has a bit more free time, she is pleased to be part of the first Hope for Our Neighbors board, working with community partners and the Town’s Human Services and Police Departments to give every resident in Cheshire the opportunity for safe, secure, and stable housing.

Mike Votto
Mike Votto has lived in Cheshire for many years with his wife, Nancy where they have raised their 3 children, Mike, Nick and Kate. Athletics played a major role in his life, where he served as a physical education teacher in New Haven and coached football at the University of Oklahoma, Southern CT State University and Cheshire High School.
Mike has also owned and operated several machine and press businesses during his working career.
Mike has been involved in many different community service organizations, including leading the Cheshire High School Hall of Fame committee and most recently serving as president of Cheshire Interfaith Housing.

Don Walsh
Don Walsh has been a resident of Cheshire since 1996 where he and his wife, Jenifer raised their 2 children, Cara and Patrick. He is currently the owner of DW Gem Services, LLC, a personal jewelry business located in Cheshire.
Don and Jenifer have been involved in fundraising for as long as they have been together. They established Cheshire’s Lights of Hope in 2007 and have raised over $1.2 million to help local charities. They have also been involved with fundraising for the National MS Society where they have raised over $500,000 for Team Jenifer, an MS Walk Team to honor Jenifer who continues to fight MS.
Don is currently serving his third term on Cheshire’s Town Council.
